Different but the Same

I lived in China for 3 years. Since I have blond hair and green eyes it was very easy for the Chinese to figure out that I was a foreigner and that I didn’t belong. Being in Switzerland, it’s harder for the Swiss to know that I don’t belong. Then I found this website. I guess there are similarities between us after all. I think I have made up in my mind that I am much more different from the Swiss than I really am. I did the same with the Chinese. Yes, we are very different, but not so different that we can’t get along. There are some things I have learned and adopted from the Swiss and Chinese, and there are others things that I have shunned and hope that I will never adopt as long as I live.
